The department is committed to early diagnosis and treatment of rheumatological diseases in order to avoid permanent damage and improve the quality of life of patients.


Rheumatology specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune diseases such as lupus, polymitosis, scleroderma and Sjögren's syndrome. The department also treats inflammatory arthritis, microcrystalline arthritis such as gout or chondrocalcinosis, osteoarthritis or degenerative diseases, osteoporosis, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and the joint hyperlaxis syndrome.
