Clinica Rotger has a team of experts specialized in the most advanced techniques for the treatment of the main pathologies of the spine. They apply both conservative therapies, such as rehabilitation exercise plans, which they coordinate with the clinic's rehabilitation service, and minimally invasive surgical techniques, such as kyphoplasty.

Tratamiento de la fractura osteoporótica espontánea mediante cifoplástia.

La fractura Osteoporótica Espontánea es una fractura por compresión de la vértebra. Principalmente, aparece en pacientes afectados por un tumor maligno, metástasis o cáncer de huesos. Y de forma más frecuente en personas de edad avanzada que por un traumatismo leve o por un movimiento brusco pueden sufrir fracturas a menudo dolorosas.

La Cifoplástia es una intervención, no invasiva.
Con una aguja, se introduce un balón deshinchado en el espacio vertebral fracturado que al hincharse, consigue recuperar la altura inicial de la vértebra, perdida en la fractura. Una vez corregida la lesión, se retiran los balones y se inyecta una sustancia conocida como “cemento líquido” en el interior de la fractura. En pocos minutos esta sustancia, se endurece, soldando la lesión y aliviando el dolor.

La intervención se realiza con agujas de forma que no requiere incisión y tampoco anestesia general, el postoperatorio se reduce a 24 horas de ingreso y el retorno a la actividad normal suele ser inmediato.
