    • José Miguel Morón MD, PhD se graduó en la Universidad de Granada y realizó la especialidad de Cirugía general y del Aparato Digestivo en el Hospital Son Espases de Palma entre los años 1994 y 1999. Completó su formación especializada en cirugía oncológica hepática y pancreática en el prestigioso Hospital Paul-Brousse de París.
  • Experiencia Profesional
    • Con más de 25 años de experiencia, el Dr. Morón es referente en cirugía hepática, biliar, pancreática y trasplante en Baleares. Pionero en técnicas mínimamente invasivas y cirugía robótica.
    • Ejerce su actividad desde el año 1999 en Clínica Rotger de Palma.
    • Actualmente es el cirujano coordinador del programa de trasplante hepático de las islas Baleares y uno de sus principales impulsores.
    • Actualmente es el jefe de sección de cirugía Hepatobiliar y trasplante en el Hospital Universitario Son Espases. Su unidad es la referente en el tratamiento quirúrgico de las patologías complejas y oncológicas asociadas al área Hepatobiliar en nuestra comunidad autónoma.

    • Obtuvo elgrado de Doctor “Cum Laude” por la tesis “Factores pronósticos de supervivencia de los pacientes intervenidos quirúrgicamente por metástasis hepáticas de cáncer colorrectal”.
    • Es firmante en mas de 90 publicaciones y comunicaciones nacionales e internacionales.
    • Es tambiéninvestigador doctoral del grupo “Simulación y 3D” perteneciente al instituto de investigación sanitaria de Baleares, IDISBA. Entre los logros del equipo, destaca la patente de un sistema de mejora de exposición del campo quirúrgico en cirugías mínimamente invasivas.

    • Premio de la Real Academia de Medicina de las Islas Baleares al mejor estudio sobre cirugía y especialidades quirúrgicas: «Premi Doctor Ramón Rotger» 2013 por el trabajo: «Factores de recidiva del carcinoma hepatocelular tras resección quirúrgica con intención curativa».
    • Premio Siurell de Plata 2024 a la iniciativa científica y tecnológica del Diario Ultima Hora al equipo de trasplante hepático.
