The primary purpose of the department for Dietetics and Nutrition of Clinica Rotger, is the preparation of dishes for in-patients, in order to fulfil the requirements for an appropriate diet, depending on the pathology, and at the same time be appetising, varied, and a support for an enjoyable stay in hospital.
The hospital has its own kitchen, where home-made meals are prepared with fresh seasonal quality products.
Every day the kitchen prepares 13 different diets, in consideration of the respective illness of the patients, and the medical prescriptions. The kitchen is always endeavoured to respect the patients’ individual tastes and personal wishes, especially for the care of children and those persons who stay in hospital for a longer period, due to their conditions.
Furthermore the kitchen prepares also individual meals, in case of food allergies, restrictions due to religious belief, or explicit instructions by the specialists.
