The hospitals of the Quirónsalud Group are the first in the Balearic Islands to receive the “Applus Certification – COVID safe Hospital” seal. This accreditation is obtained following an audit, during which documentary monitoring is carried out of the protocol developed by the hospitals, the emergency plan, the de-escalation plan and the monitoring of the implementation of the measures on site.
Palma de Majorca, 15 May 2020. – The return to normality in activity has created new requirements for cleanliness, hygiene, control and organisation for all sectors. Companies are developing their own hygiene and control protocols to facilitate the gradual return of staff and the reception of their clients. For this reason, the certification bodies have recently developed some recommendation guides to accredit good practices in the management of risks derived from COVID-19 for all types of facilities and services. In this way, they intend to support the gradual return of these facilities and services to normality.
This official accreditation, granted by a financially strong external body, confirms that the implementation of the circuits and the measures taken are aimed at providing reliable care to patients on their return to normal activities and helps to convey abroad the message that we are safe islands for tourism.
This certification promotes confidence among professionals and patients by officially accrediting all the steps taken, a key aspect in restoring normal activity. It is in this context that the Quirónsalud Group has chosen this certification of its centres.
The organisational capacity and commitment to apply the necessary control measures at all levels of the hospital should be highlighted, as well as the cleanliness of all departments in order to provide quality healthcare aimed at preventing infection.
At Clinica Rotger and Quirónsalud Palmaplanas Hospital, we have been committed from the outset to carrying out serological tests on all our staff and PCR tests on patients before any operation or hospitalisation. We have also worked to create safe circuits and have increased the cleaning tasks, with the installation of screens, information signs on the maximum capacity allowed in the different rooms and the establishment of social distance in the waiting rooms, in order to continue to provide assistance in the best hygienic conditions, prevent infections and combat the spread of the virus.
The organisational ability and commitment to implement the necessary control measures at all levels of the hospital and the cleanliness of all departments is underlined, in order to guarantee high quality health care to prevent infection”.
Clinica Rotger and Quirónsalud Palmaplanas Hospital are the first COVID-safe hospitals in the Balearic Islands to be certified.
For all the above reasons, Clinica Rotger and Quirónsalud Palmaplanas Hospital are among the first hospitals in Spain to receive the ““Applus Certification – COVID safe Hospital” seal, which certifies that they comply with the protocols that guarantee the prevention and control of COVID, i.e. a COVID-safe hospital.
